The caster has each recipient remove their footwear and stand barefoot. They then pour a small amount of water over each person's feet while chanting a rhythmic blessing of buoyancy and surface tension. The water does not run off — it clings to the skin like a thin, invisible boot, then absorbs into the feet with a pleasant tingling warmth. The caster then demonstrates by stepping onto the nearest body of water: their foot depresses the surface slightly, as if stepping on a firm mattress, but does not break through. Ripples spread from each step. The sensation is peculiar — the water feels solid but responsive, like walking on a sheet of flexible glass. Recipients may walk, run, or even dance on the surface. Some casters report that the experience changes their relationship with water permanently — afterward, they can never quite shake the feeling that any body of water is a path waiting to be walked.
This spell grants the ability to move across any liquid surface--such as water, acid, mud, snow, quicksand, or lava--as if it were harmless solid ground (creatures crossing molten lava can still take damage from the heat). Up to ten willing creatures you can see within range gain this ability for the duration. If you target a creature submerged in a liquid, the spell carries the target to the surface of the liquid at a rate of 60 feet per round.
