The Solari Archipelago is a chain of sun-bleached atolls along Eshara's eastern coast — home to five tribal peoples, primarily Tortari shell-folk, who follow the Solari Trine philosophy of Scorching Sun, Whispering Wind, and Silent Deep.
Each tribe has adapted to a different island environment, developing distinct cultural specialities while sharing core virtues. The Koa'tel keep archives in wind-carved cliffs. The Al'Sharak navigate mirages. The Nahara'Zem forge obsidian and bind spirits. The Vul'tahni settle disputes through ritual combat. The Kel'Tuun guard impossible oases. Ancient temples stir in the sand, and a growing connection to Angharad the Deep God threatens to reshape the archipelago's spiritual foundations.
Lorekeepers and scholars obsessed with solar alignments. Their cliffside caverns serve as natural archives where wind and time have written stories across stone. They value knowledge above all and will trade secrets for true lore.
Illusionists skilled in mirage-dance — a meditative art that projects visions across sand. They do not lie, but they do not always speak plainly. To negotiate with them is to be prepared for paradox and poetic evasion.
Obsidian artisans, star-watchers, and pactbinders who negotiate with spirits of reef, volcano, and depths. They seal agreements with symbols carved in glass and sealed with blood. They do not forgive breach of oath.
Warriors and philosophers who speak salt-tongues — a magical dialect in the crystallisation of salt. All major decisions are settled by formalised combat that is prayer and negotiation in motion. They have begun speaking more of Angharad.
Water-priests and tide prophets guarding a phenomenon that should not exist — an oasis fed by tidal cycles following a moon not visible from the islands. Custodians of the drowned and keepers of names that surface only in the oasis's depths.
Deep within the Singing Sands, a solarium-temple begins to stir — broadcasting ghostly heat signatures and fragmentary rites at dawn. Its astronomical markers match symbols found on ancient Tortari shells. A riddle-bound golem inside has waited ages for a figure prophesied to reclaim a throne of forgotten sanctity.
A Vul'tahni prophet, thought dead, returns with a crystalline third eye that sees infinite futures. The prophet preaches a gospel of Angharad cloaked in sunlight and seeks the Final Mirage — an artefact said to turn the sun into a weapon.
A djinn-like wind elemental, released by inadvertent breaking of ritual, engulfs the party between islands. It knows names, bloodlines, and an ancestral debt. It demands settlement — or takes a party member as collateral.
A sage has become a spirit-anchored relic — a living library whose consciousness is braided through thousands of memory stones. The binding is degrading. The party must navigate psychic hazards to determine which memories are worth saving and which must be forgotten.
